Before later establishing himself in Chicago after the Great Fire of 1871, the young American architect Peter Bonnett Wight (1838-1925) had designed public buildings with jewel-like stenciled interiors in NY, in his preferred Gothic Revival style. Our new suite of fills and ceiling ornaments were inspired by some of the richly-colored walls and ceilings he proposed for the (now demolished) Brooklyn Mercantile Library in 1868.
