ArcalusPosted on | August 14, 2009 | No Comments Bo knows period design, and that being the case, Bo (Sullivan), the intrepid historian for Rejuvenation lighting up in Portland, Oregon, has launched his own period design consulting service called Arcalus. The curious moniker was inspired by a great-great-great-grandfather of Bo’s actually named Arcalous Wyckoff, an industrialist and inventor from Elmira, New York. Through his many years at Rejuvenation, Bo has built up an impressive historical library… …all housed now in a “store front” upstairs at Rejuvenation’s Portland showroom. I asked him to tell me about Arcalus and what it may offer some of our readers interested in design… “From your customers’ point of view, I hope to be able to help people with my incredibly diverse documentation – from catalog interior images to actual photographs to the sample sales books – to inform and inspire their design process, regardless of period. Like you’ve discovered and shared yourself, few folks want period perfect solutions. But with a wide array of authentic visual materials to provide starting points and unusual palettes and fresh ideas for treatments, hopefully Arcalus can offer a fun and meaningful experience that produces rich stories and connections with the parts of the past that excite folks in a way that they can’t find anywhere else.” So congratulations on your exciting new endeavor Bo… we wish you and Arcalus the best!
